Doživeli smo da mali superzum kompakti iz Canon SX serije dobiju 4K video. Prvi predstavnik je Canon PowerShot SX740 HS. Istina je da su 1/2.3" BSI CMOS senzor i objektiv 24-960mm f/3.3-6.9 prešli iz prethodne generacije SX730, ali je zato instaliran procesor najnovije generacije - DIGIC 8 - koji je trenutno prisutan jedino kod Canon EOS R. Rezultat ovoga je da možete snimati UHD 4K na 30 fps i iskoristiti sve blagodeti optičkom zuma od maksimalnih 40x. Štaviše, rafal kod Canon SX740 dostiže stopu od 7.4 fps sa kontinuiranim autofokusom, odnosno 10 fps sa Single AF.

Ostale komponente koje se tiču Canon SX 740 uglavnom su ostale iste kao kod SX730 - spoljašnji dizajn, ekran (pokretni LCD dijagonale 3" i rezolucije 922.000 tačaka, koji nije osetljiv na dodir), blic, a Wi-Fi funkcija je ukomponovana sa NFC i Bluetooth. Opcija Zoom Framing Assist, pomoću koje objektiv automatski zumira i odzumira metu dok je u pokretu i olakšava praćenje, našla je mesto i kod SX740. Što se tiče boje, Canon SX740 dostupan je u crnoj i srebrnoj varijanti.
